Bakari Msongamwanja

Bakari Ally Msongamwanja, experienced medical imaging leader, serves as TARA President, with over ten years’ expertise.

Mr Bakari Ally Msongamwanja is President of Tanzania Association of Radiographers (TARA). Mr Msongamwanja bring to TARA a record of exceptional leadership and strategic vision with a medical field and advanced diagnosis Imaging services and national leader of radiation services, serving more than ten years in medical Imaging field. His prior positions include executive adviser of Muhas Institute President, Ministry of Sports and Intertainment, and President of Muhas Institute. From 2016 to 2020, he was manager and founder of nonprofit organization Afya Club and Dar es Salaam City of Peace respectively. Also 2019 to 2022, he was served as President of Tanzania Association of Radiographers for the first term and 2022 to 2025 appointed in last term in TARA Presidential Post

Wilson Ngoye possess Bachelor degree and Master Degree from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Obtained his Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences He served as Deputy Treasurer of the Tanzania Association of Radiographers (TARA) from 2019 to 2022, and currently is the Vice President of TARA. Currently working with Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission (TAEC) as Senior Research Officer. Prior to the employment with TAEC, he worked as a Clinical Radiographer at Kairuki Hospital. He has participated in international and local conferences, workshops and trainings. He has also published research papers in several Journals. His research interest is in the areas of medical radiation exposure, occupational radiation exposure, quality control, as well as compliance of radiological facilities regarding radiation safety requirements. He has served as a member of various committees and teams of Government and non-Governmental Organs such as Ministry of Health, President's Office - Regional Administration and Local Government, Tanzania Medicines and Medical Devices Authority, Tanzania Ports Authority, and Medical Stores Department

I, Omary Harouna Msehwa, Originating from Mahembe-Kigoma, obtained Diagnostic Radiography (DDR) and Radiation Therapy Technology (BscRTT) at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Science (MUHAS). I have 12yrs experience in radiography practice with proficiency and clinical Competence in General Diagnostic imaging. I have worked as a radiographer in Burhan Health Centre (Dsm), TMJ Hospital (DSM), Regency Medical Centre (DSM) and worked as an intern Radiotherapist at OCEAN ROAD Cancer Institute (DSM). I am currently working with DED-Kisarawe District Hospital. I served in various capacities as Minister of Finance-MUHAS Institute of Allied Health Student Organization, Chairperson TASARTT-Tanzania student Association of Radiotherapy-MUHAS and General Secretary-Tanzania Association of Radiographers 2019-2022. I attended, participated and benefitted in many conferences/seminars, stakeholders and preparing some of the document’s pattern to radiography. I am a council member of Medical Radiology and Imaging Professional and by the grace of God at 2022 re-elected as; The Executive Secretary of the Association of Radiographers of Tanzania (TARA) up to 2025. My goal is to see radiography as well as the radiotherapy and Sonography profession grow beyond.

Mr Godfrey Ngoye, He is born at Temeke Municipal in Dar es salaam city region. In 1993 went to Azimio Primary School in Temeke District, O-level studied at Jitegemee High School by 2001 then Azania High School up to 2008. In 2009 joined Muhimbili university of health and allied sciences (MUHAS) as a student in the faculty of allied health science pursued Diagnostic Radiography up to 2012. In 2017 joined at Ecurei University at Uganda to perused Bachelor in Medical Imaging (BMI) He has a history of being a leader, in 2019 appointed as TANESA ( Tanzania Ecurei Student Association ) in Kampala Uganda , In 2019 He was elected as TARA Deputy Secretary for 3 years up to 2022. By 2023 was elected to be a Council member of workers at Ocean Road Cancer Institute serving until now. By the year 2022 re-elected as TARA Deputy Secretary serving till now

Shadrack J. Butemi, Mwanza-born radiographer, studied at CUHAS, led student associations, and now serves as TARA Treasurer.

Mr Rad. Shadrack J. Butemi, born at Magu District in Mwanza Region. In 1998 went to Itetemia Primary School in Geita District, O-level studied at Kamhanga Secondary School by 2008, then Don Bosco Didia High School up to 2011. In 2013 joined Catholic university of health and allied sciences (CUHAS) - Bugando as a student in the faculty of allied health science pursued Diagnostic Radiography up to 2016. He has a history of being a leader, in 2015 appointed as CUHASSO Deputy Minister of education. In 2016 was elected as a Chairman of the Radiography students association. In 2019 was appointed by TARA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE as an Eastern Representative serving Dar-es-salaam, Pwani,Tanga and Morogoro Regions. By the year 2022 was elected as TARA Treasurer serving till now.

Highly experienced healthcare professional with a decade of expertise in delivering quality medical services. Possesses a strong educational background and a commitment to continuous learning and development. He went to Kagera Primary School from 1998 to 2004, O-level studied at Bukongo Secondary School from 2005 up to 2008 then Azania High School from 2009 up to 2011. He joined Catholic university of health and allied sciences (CUHAS) - Bugando on 2011 until 2014 to pursued Diagnostic Radiography. After university studies he is working with Aga Khan Health Service, Iringa for 10 Years until now saving as Radiographer incharge. He is Fluent speaking Swahili and English language. Currently elected as Deputy Treasure of the Tanzania Association of Radiographers TARA
